Do you have any website? How much you are earning from it? When did you start ?
Have had around 80 websites and some were taken down by me on as I didn't had time to manage it and didn't wanted to sell it as a website due to the underlying fact that I am a domainer too. (I make money by buying and selling good domain names)
I have also worked on large projects for clients from 2008 till now. One of them is bringing 1,000,000 USD net profit per year, it is a service based website. Another is bringing net profit of 400,000 USD per year, it's a high quality content website. The third one is a news website and it is also making around 150,000 net profit per year. Those were for clients whom I have worked with as a sole developer and still work as a webmaster. I don't get enough time to manage my own websites as managing websites technically I can do very well but what I can't and don't want to get involved in is other aspects of running a large scale business. Therefore working in team with some like minded people has brought me and them good profits along with peace of mind for both parties.
My own websites that I currently have online and requires almost no upkeep are making me 12,000 to 15,000 USD per year. If a website is making small profit but giving me useless headache then I would either sell it off or if the domain name is good enough then I would shut the website down and take a loss on that small income to use that time for watching TV or just sitting on couch doing nothing. Because sometimes doing nothing is required to sharpen the mind.
I still love to code new personal projects and currently I am working on a project that was planned back in 2015 and was started in 2019 and was to be completed by 2019 end but is 80% done and pending currently for me to again have another go at it. Should be running by April end this year. Tentatively should generate 25,000 USD net profit in starting years and rest depends on its marketing.
In start I had a passion for making newer projects and working 14 - 16 hours per day. Now I can sit for 3 or 4 hours at a stretch and then have to take a break because if I don't then next day my back will kill me. But with this experience that I have gained I am always coding and solving project related issues even while laying down or doing some gardening. All that is left for me to do is just get online and type it out.
Honestly telling now I don't have that much passion for my work because it has all came down to being a business that has to be ran and during all this years I learned how to take sharp decisions and not get emotional with projects features that I work on. All three clients of mine are great businessmen and I learned valuable lessons from them and still do the same.
