Which among the two is best Hosting provider HOSTINGER & SHOUTCODER?
Believing or not Since I have spent some time researching lots of hosting providers over the internet, I will share some insights on what I have found important while considering these two big players.
Let’s look into Hostinger
- Hostinger is definitely winning the price game (in this case they are winning over the whole market) starting with the 0,80€ per plan.
- They provide shared/cloud/WP/email hosting. Also, VPS & Windows VPS hosting and sells domains.
- The uptime they advertise - regular 99,9% as most web hosts. After checking out the reviews and tests they carried out, my judgment would be that mostly they stick to their promise and have good uptime.
- Hostinger ranks high in the speed category amongst other shared hosting providers.
- Good thing - 30 days money-back guarantee. If you are the one who doesn’t trust the reviews and feel like checking it yourself. Just in case you don’t like it, get the money back and move on.
- They provide an SSL certificate for free. Carry in mind it is a limited time offer (spotted at 2019-11-13), otherwise, you can only get free SSL with business shared hosting and could plans. Anyways, NameCheap doesn’t provide a free SSL certificate with any plans.
- Useful feature - auto-installer for CMS like - WordPress, PrestaShop, Magento, Drupal & Joomla.
- Something special - custom made Hostinger hPanel, which is user-friendly and customizable.
- 24/7 live chat support that will help you with solving problems in real-time.
- If the problem is not that urgent, they also have a lot of useful tutorials on their webpage, that might come in handy.
Now, let’s take a look at NameCheap:
- Basic hosting plans start at 1,31€ (2,22€ for UK datacenters), so almost double the Hostinger price, but again it’s a pretty cheap price for high-quality host services.
- They provide shared/VPS/dedicated/reseller/WP/Email hosting. What they have and Hostinger doesn’t, are the reseller and dedicated hosting options. So if your goal is to make a business by re-selling hosting, or if you are on a lookout for a dedicated server - choose NameCheap. On the other hand, Hostinger has cloud hosting, while NC doesn’t. You really need to figure out what you are looking for before you decide on certain brand.
- NameCheap guarantees 99,9% uptime (*excluding scheduled maintenance) although many sources across the internet have found that they have more downtime than they promise.
- The bandwidth with every plan is unmetered.
- NC has a 30-day money-back guarantee as well.
- Good thing for security and peace of mind - they have 2x/week free backups, while Hostinger has only 1x time/week. Just in case something happens, and you manage to lose all the files.
- 24/7 customer support via live chat just like Hostinger.
- NameCheap also provides a lot of helpful Q&A’s and various articles related to hosting and having a website. Interesting to read even if you are not a user of theirs!
